About GrEnFIn-EMJM

Greening Energy Market and Finance (GrEnFIn) is a 24-month Erasmus Mundus Joint Master offering 120 ECTS, culminating in a multiple degree issued jointly by three leading European partner universities.

The best students, selected from all over the world, join an exciting international environment and are trained to become Sustainable Energy Experts — professionals able to face the energy transition and environmental challenges, and to address the evolving demands of the energy sector with a comprehensive global perspective.

The call for applications for the academic year 2027–2028 closes on January 7, 2027, for both EU and non-EU candidates. We strongly recommend preparing your documents — degree certificates, transcripts, English proficiency proof and your CV — well in advance of the deadline.

Scholarships and financial support

Prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for the best-qualified applicants, covering tuition fees and providing a monthly allowance. Eligibility is based on academic merit and compliance with Erasmus Mundus regulations. Detailed conditions and the selection criteria are published on the scholarship page.

Associate partners

Associate partners support the programme in various ways and play an active role by offering research opportunities to students — for example internships, research assistantships (RAship) and master’s thesis projects — by delivering lectures at the annual GrEnFIn summer/winter school, and as guest lecturers at the three partner universities.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for the GrEnFIn-EMJM, candidates must hold:

  • A good-level first-cycle degree in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Statistical Sciences, Information Technology or Engineering.
  • A certified level of proficiency in English (minimum level B2).
  • An adequate personal training, assessed on the basis of academic merit and curriculum vitae.
